More info
Analog Devices followed its popular classic, the ADXL345, with this near-replacement, the ADXL343. Like the original, it is a three-axis accelerometer with I2C digital output and SPI interface. It has a wide sensitivity range and high resolution, operating with an internal 10 or 13 bit ADC. Built-in motion detection features make it easy to detect tap, double tap, activity, inactivity and freefall. There are two interrupt pins, and you can map all interrupts independently of each other.
The specifications of ADXL343 are almost identical to those of ADXL345, and the code written for the'345 will probably work on the'343 as is. This new accelerometer has great price improvements to stay within your budget.
The sensor has three measuring axes, X Y Z, and pins that can be used as an I2C or SPI digital interface. You can set the sensitivity level to +-2g, +-4g, +-8g or +-16g. The lower range gives more resolution for slow movements, the upper range is good for high-speed tracking. The ADXL343 is the newest and largest of the analog devices, known for its exceptional quality of MEMS devices.
We have added a 3.3 V regulator and a logic level matching circuit, making it a perfect choice for interfacing with any 3 V or 5 V microcontroller or computer such as Arduino or Raspberry Pi. We have Arduino (C/C++) and CircuitPython (Python 3) libraries available for you to use with any microcontroller such as Arduino, ESP8266, Metro, etc. or with Raspberry Pi or other Linux computers through Blinka.
Each order comes with a fully tested and assembled board and a solder connector. Two 2.5 mm (0.1 in.) mounting holes for easy mounting, you will be up and running in less than 5 minutes!
