Description
Its core is a dual H-bridge driver circuit that can handle currents of up to 2A per channel, controlled by an ATmega8L Atmel that manages I2C communication. Both motors can be operated simultaneously with different speed and direction settings. It can power two brushed DC motors or a 4-wire two-phase stepper motor. It requires a power supply from 6V to 15V to power the motor and has an integrated 5V voltage regulator that can supply the I2C bus (selectable by jumper). All output lines are protected against feedback current by a diode.
The simple software interface is not the only easy-to-use feature because the I2C engine driver is designed to allow you to start up in no time. It is equipped with a power LED and four LEDs to indicate if and in which direction each motor is running. The screw terminals make it easy to connect the motor and power supply.
