Description
If you are looking for the most compact display for a Raspberry Pi project (probably for a Pi Zero), this might be just what you need!
The Adafruit PIOLED 128x32 connects to any Raspberry P computer, to bring you a small screen. The PiolED comes with a 128x32 monochrome OLED, with white pixels on a black background. The OLED only uses I2C pins, so you have many GPIO connections for buttons, LEDs, sensors, etc. It is also pleasant and compact.
These displays are small, about 1" diagonal, but very readable due to the high contrast of an OLED display. This screen consists of individual 128x32 white OLED pixels and because the display makes its own light, no backlighting is required. This reduces the power needed to use the OLED and that's why the display has such high contrast, we really like this miniature display for its sharpness!
Using the display is very simple, we have a Python library for the SSD1306 chipset. Our sample code allows you to draw images, text, whatever you want, using the Python Imaging Library. Our tests have shown an update rate of 30 FPS so you can make simple animations or videos.
Delivered completely pre-assembled and tested to do nothing but plug it in and install our Python code! Works with any Raspberry Pi computer, including PI 1, B+, Pi 2, Pi 3 and Pi Zero.
