The Feather card is the new development card developed by Adafruit and as its name implies, Feather means Feather in English, it is small, light and can lift you up! It was designed to set a new standard for small microcontroller. This is the Adafruit Feather 32u4 RFM95 LoRa Radio card (868 or 915 MHz). Ideal for creating wireless networks that can go further than 2.4GHz 802.15.4 and similar, more flexible than Bluetooth LE and without the high power requirements of WiFi.
At the heart of the Feather card is an ATmega32u4 ATmega32u4 with an 8 MHz frequency and a 3.3 V logic, like the Flora card. This chip has 32K flash and 2K of RAM, with built-in USB, not only does it have a USB-to-serial converter and an integrated debugging capability without the need for an FTDI chip, it can also act as a mouse, keyboard, USB MIDI device, etc.
In order to carry out portable installations, this board has a JST connector dedicated to 3.7V lithium polymer batteries with an integrated charging circuit, 500mAh minimum for this Feather board. If you don't need a battery, simply power it through the micro-USB connector with a 500mA output source. The Feather card will automatically switch between the USB power supply and the battery if necessary.
