More info

Breathe healthily knowing that you can monitor the air quality around you with the PM2.5 air quality sensor. Mad Max & Furiosa should certainly have hung one in their truck while digging into the desert and dusty nature of post-apocalyptic Australia. And for those of us who don't live in an Outback dystopia, this sensor + adapter kit is ideal for monitoring air quality, and super easy to use!

Testimonial: reliable and real-time measurement of PM2.5 dust concentrations! This sensor uses laser scattering to radiate particles suspended in the air, then collects the scattered light to obtain the curve of the variation of the scattered light over time. The microprocessor calculates the equivalent particle diameter and the number of particles of different diameter per unit volume.

You will need to connect it to a microcontroller with UART input (or you could theoretically connect it to a USB-Serial converter and analyze the data on a computer) - with the code for Arduino and CircuitPython. 9600 baud of data once per second, you will get :

Concentrations of PM1.0, PM2.5 and PM10.0 in standard and environmental units
Particles per 0.1 L of air, classified into 0.3 um, 0.5 um, 1.0 um, 2.5 um, 5.0 um and 10 um containers.

Sold with a card to match the connectors to the 2.54mm pitch. All you need is the power supply and a data pin (for the UART TX). 5V power supply, 3.3V logic
