More info
Description:
A Hall effect sensor to generate a voltage proportional to the magnetic fields present near the sensor. It can be used to calculate a distance from a magnet, or even to measure the magnetic field induced in a wire or a coil.
Output:
This module has an analog outputs ranging from 0V to 5V corresponding to the change in magnetic field close to the sensor. 5V represents the presence of a magnetic field nearby and 0V if there is no magnetic field.
By connecting this module on the analog inputs of an Arduino kit, you can directly read values between 0 and 1023 corresponding to the acceleration of the module.
Description of the module:
At the back of the module, you can find an amplifier of signal, a green LED that indicates that the module is correctly powered and a yellow LEDS whose brightness is representative of the magnetic field.
Connections:
This modules can be plugged directly on the TinkerKit Sensor shield using a TinkerKit connection cable.
This module is a SENSOR having a connector of OUTPUT to be connected on a ENTRY of the TinkerKit Sensor Shield.
