Thermocouples are very sensitive and require a good amplifier with a cold compensation reference. The Adafruit MCP9600 does all this for you, and can easily be interfaced with any microcontroller or single board computer with I2C. Inside, the chip manages all the analog equipment for you, and can interface with just about any type of thermocouple: Types K, J, T, N, N, S, E, B and R are all supported! You can also set various over/under temperature alerts, and read the thermocouple temperature (hot) and chip temperature (cold). All this thanks to the common I2C

This breakout card has the chip itself, a 3.3 V regulator and a level adaptation circuit, all assembled and tested. Works perfectly with 3.3V or 5V logic. Comes with a 2-pin terminal block (for connection to the thermocouple) and a pin connector (to be connected to any breadboard). Combine it with our 1m K-type thermocouple.

Works with all K, J, T, N, S, E, B and R thermocouples

Resolution of ±0.0625 °C - note that K thermocouples have an accuracy of about ±2°C to ±6°C.
